Flower-Faced

A vintage classic, the Flower-Faced hat calls to the romantic styles of Breton. 

It is made with thick western-weight wool, stiffened for this sculptural and solid structure. The fullness of the flowers are achieved through layers of silk that cascade across the brim and crown. The subtle blue sheen of the silk catches the light, along with glass beading amongst the petals.

The Flower-Faced hat is created using traditional hand-blocking and flower-making techniques. All my hats are lined with bamboo silk. This choice is not only ethical and sustainable, but also the softest and kindest fabric to sit against your hair and skin. It is anti-static and naturally antibacterial. 

This piece will be handcrafted in my London studio using the finest locally-sourced materials. 

It is made-to-order so will take around 2-3 weeks to finish.
