Capture the forest spirit with this elegant and blossoming Breton hat. 

The Hart hat is made with medium-weight smooth navy wool, stiffened for this strong silhouette.  The fullness of the flowers are achieved through layers of peach-coloured bamboo silk that cascade across the brim and crown.

The antique gold ribbon is dated 18th century, repurposed from a church pulpit. Details include a vintage insignia embroidered wing and 24kt gold, seed and glass beads. The golden antlers are made with wire, sinamay and rayon. The wide breton brim is trimmed with petersham and a rayon-wrapped strip.

The Hart hat is created using traditional hand-blocking and flower-making techniques. All my hats are lined with bamboo silk. This choice is not only ethical and sustainable, but also the finest for comfort. Bamboo silk is the softest and kindest fabric to sit against your hair and skin. It is anti-static and naturally antibacterial. 

This piece will be handcrafted in my London studio using the finest locally-sourced materials. 

It is made-to-order so will take around 2-3 weeks to finish. Other colours, alterations and fabric preferences can be fulfilled upon request.
