Athena's Helm

Then over her brows, Athena placed her golden helmet, forked with twin horns, her shield of lightning dazzling. 

The Athena’s Helm percher is made with layers of ivory & gold sinamay, shaped into a teardrop style with sculptural waves. Detailed with filigree-style sinamay, glass & 24kt gold beads. The butterfly is made with gold embroidery, wire and sinamay. Trimmed with petersham and set with organic elastic. 

Athena’s Helm is created using traditional hand-blocking and millinery techniques, along with contemporary and unique touches. 

This piece will be handcrafted in my London studio using the finest locally-sourced materials. 

It is made-to-order so will take around 2-3 weeks to finish. Other colours, alterations and fabric preferences can be fulfilled upon request.
